Modern, Minimalist & Sustainable Footwear Brand, ‘Coclico’ Opens Their Second Retail Space in Williamsburg

Coclico, the sustainable footwear collection, has opened its second permanent retail and studio space in New York City. Located in Williamsburg, the retail store highlights exclusive styles and colors from Coclico’s seasonal collections.

Coclico Williamsburg, designed by Michael Yarinsky, integrates nature and modernity in its latest retail outpost. Using locally sourced materials, founder Sandra Canselier was intentional about using only natural supplies in its décor. As Yarinsky explains of the space, “our approach was to echo the ethos of [Coclico] while providing a welcoming backdrop to their products.” From locally procured pine to its preservation of architectural details in the historic building, built in 1910, Coclico merges modern minimalism and traditional quality.

“North Brooklyn was a deliberate choice for us as we set out to relocate our studio and identify the location of our second retail space,” says Coclico founder Sandra Canselier of opening in Williamsburg, “this was just as much a personal decision as business—it was clear that with the L train shutdown, we needed to accommodate our staff—but we also knew that having a space in the neighborhood I’ve lived in for nearly twenty years was essential to the DNA of Coclico. After spending months hunting for a space, we found the perfect location that both preserves the history of the neighborhood while being the next frontier for retail in New York City.”

Coclico Williamburg officially opened to the public late last month at 101 Metropolitan Avenue. Store hours are Monday and Tuesday 11AM to 6PM, Wednesday through Saturday 11AM to 7PM and Sundays 12 to 5:30PM. For more information, visit www.coclico.com.
